Eco Balance Yoga Mat- 5mm

I absolutely love this yoga mat! From the moment I unboxed it (which, by the way, I truly appreciated—it came double boxed, so no worries about it getting crushed in shipping), I could tell it was high quality. The grip is fantastic, even during more intense flows, and the 4mm thickness provides just the right balance of comfort and support for my joints. Very high end and professional type of poly foam and material. Length and padding is great, easy to clean! The straps are simple loops and so easy to use to grab the rolled up mat. Compared to my old one, this is a major step up and fantastic

I’ve been practicing yoga for almost 8 years and tried a lot of mats. This mat is one of the best I’ve practiced on. It has an amazing grip which helps to hold your asanas. No sliding hands or feet. In addition, the mat provides a great cushion for your knees, elbow or head. But even though it is thick, it is not heavy which is great. I also like the alignment feature which can help to alight your poses. With a full confidence I can say that this mat meets, if not exceeds, the quality of other leading mat brands that charge two or three times more for their products. I am very happy with this mat and I recommend it to everyone who is looking for a quality product, without breaking a bank.

Medium thickness, not too heavy, long enough for someone of average height 5.5’ with plenty of space to spare. Material is non stick on both sides. Used it on carpet and it did not slide. Love the lines to help hold positions better. Can’t speak to durability yet, but it seems well made.

This is a nice, thick, and sturdy yoga mat — definitely longer and more supportive than my previous one. It doesn’t slip on laminate flooring, and the printed design is beautiful. It’s a bit on the heavier side, so not the easiest to carry around, but it’s perfect for home practice.

As you can see in the photo, the GAYO mat is slightly longer than my everyday yoga mat. I use this mat at home for stretching and strength training (barefoot). While it is 2mm thinner and lighter in weight than my OG mat, the smooth non-slip surface provides firm stability and soft cushioning. The alignment lines add a decorative touch and help to ensure that my body is in the proper position.The cons:1) My body sticking to the surface a little when I was sweating,2) The mat does have a faint rubber odor that is noticeable when I am laying with my face close to the mat,3) Can easily get scratched up by cats (see last photo). I use this mat around 1 hour per day. When not in use I keep it rolled up. I have noticed my cat stretch on the mat one time and as a result her claws left some lasting marks on the mat. They have stretched on my other yoga mat without the same effects. I assume because the surface on the GAYO mat is smooth it is more susceptible to this problem.

This is my first yoga mat like this in terms of quality. I’m used to your standard run of the mill type yoga mats and this one has a different texture to it overall. It’s very nice, is nonslip, and is comfortable during exercising and use. It has an alignment print on it, which I think is pretty nice. It gives a nice aesthetic vibe and look to it on top of being functional.

Easy to follow markings and comfortable

It stays flat!! Who knew this would be a quality to look for? My last yoga mat was 'over-sized' to give me room to roll around. But it would never lay completely flat. The Eco Balance Yoga Mat lays totally flat - and is super grippy too! I love this mat so far. And another bonus? There is absolutely no chemical smell! I have had other yoga mats in the past where I needed to air it out for a day or two to allow the chemical smell to dissipate. The size of the yoga mat is standard and will accommodate a majority of people. I am 6'2'' and fit on the mat, but there's no room for me to roll around. I'm willing to sacrifice a little surface size for the quality this mat has. The included sling is convenient and effective. Great mat so far!

I'm not new to yoga and have used other mats that I thought were good—until this one came along and changed everything. It’s exceptionally comfortable, and the alignment lines are a game-changer, especially for practicing at home without an instructor. While it does attract every speck of dirt when rolling, it wipes clean effortlessly. Highly impressed

Great quality for a reasonable price.

It’s thick enough to cushion the knees during poses and stays in place on our hardwood floors. It did have a strong smell at first, but a few days of airing out took care of it.

Super heavy which makes it very durable. Not one to carry to the gym tho. At least not for me. T here is a strap but seems cumbersome. Thick will protect knees during exercise. Large size so very usable.

This is a very nice Yoga mat. I had a higher priced Yoga Mat — one of many; I’m a Yoga teacher — and I actually like this mat better.At 4 mm it’s a bit on the thin side, but that’s also a pretty normal thickness. The other mat I was always sliding around on, but this Yoga mat is nice and grippy.It’s attractive and a very nice size.I only rated it 4 stars because there was a very strong smell at first that took weeks to dissipate. Also the price point is a bit high.So maybe not for someone beginning their practice, but definitely great for someone that already practices regularly.

This is the yoga mat of my dreams. It’s big, it’s heavy, it lies flat on different surfaces, and it is made of natural rubber and a plant based (not petroleum) polyurethane. It feels sturdy and supportive, not spongy like some mats. There is the mild odor of rubber which I expected, but it doesn’t bother me. The carry strap is easy to put on and to adjust, but I think I will mostly use this at home and use my old mat for traveling. I’ve used the Gayo Eco Balance mat on wood and on carpet. I can’t wait to try it on the deck in warm weather. I also appreciate the careful packaging (rolled in a dust cloth, packed in a box, and then packed in a second box) that helped it arrive in flawless condition. Great product, reasonable price.

Eco Balance Yoga Mat-This yoga mat thickness is perfect for my yoga practice . I usually practice Indoors in a soft carpet floor so I always need to use a yoga mat that is tick so I don’t slide with the rug specially if I am practicing inversions . I think it will be great for outdoors, the thickness of the mat is perfect. No too thin or too tick.

Has a carrying strap with it making it super easy to take with me and then store when not in use. Good mat to have even if you're not using it for yoga specifically.

So...I've only had this mat for like a week or so but this mat is basically my new best friend. It looks great lays flat on the ground and doesn't move and is SO durable. Seriously! I've practically been beating it up in my workouts and it seems to be completely unfazed by it! It's also super easy to fold/unfold. It isn't that heavy and is very easy to carry around.Now one of the main reasons I bought this was because I needed a mat that I could do both yoga and other fitness activities on it. I've been doing some rigorous ab and HIIT workouts on it as well as stretches and just random cardio. I even did some kettlebell exercises on it! The mat is so nice and durable. I'm obsessed!I really hope they keep making these mats that can double as both yoga and general fitness mats for people like me who like to use these mats for multiple purposes. This was a great purchase. I highly recommend it!

This mat is definitely a few steps above your regular, cheapy yoga mat. It has an excellent anti-slip material on the bottom, it WILL stay put! I like that it is a bit longer and wider than my regular yoga mats, to give more room when I do poses or I’m laying down. The alignment lines are a good reference point if you’re a perfectionist with your yoga practice. In my opinion, it provides the right amount of cushion and stability. However, because it is made of higher quality materials, it is heavy and priced high.

I like this mat, the design and how it is pretty non-slip even on carpet. The thing I don't like is that the material is rather thin. I wish there was a little more comfort with this, like just a tad more thickness and it would be much better for me. That being said, I actually like this better than my thicker mat, at least when it comes to design. It is pretty cool. Just wish it was slightly thicker is all!

The thickness of this mat is just right for Pilates even. It allows for good grip while also having good cushion. I don’t slip easily but I do still use grip socks for longer exercises. The cushion is perfect for holding poses and kneeling, which usually really bothers my knees. I’m sure the mat is also very portable for those that go to yoga classes.

This is a great mat, good grip, good for nonslip, easy to roll up.Very good quality, aesthetically it’s beautiful, pretty durable.I love it.

This mat has several good qualities: It lays flat, it is easier to balance on (than thick mats) and, most importantly to me, my feet do not slip and it does not slip on hardwood floors. This is wonderful. I'm not sure about the amount of padding yet. Until now, I have used a very thick, highly padded mat and then added a thin non-slip one under it. That is a bit inconvenient but works nicely for not slipping and also have lots of padding for knee poses. I will use this one at yoga next Wednesday and see how it feels by itself. The one thing I note that is a disadvantage in my mind is that is is extremely heavy. I think my other two mats combined do not weigh as much as this mat! If you're a yoga elitist, then this mat will please as I know yoga instructors will realize it is a spendy product. Personally, I prefer to slip under the radar lest they think I should be better than I am!
