Organic Cotton Yoga Blanket

Great quality weaving and perfect medium weight.

This organic cotton handwoven yoga blanket from Gayo is extra large at 90x59 in. The relaxing eucalyptus color is like a muted aqua or seafoam green. This blanket is made of 100% eco-conscious organic cotton, supporting sustainable farming. It is not terribly thick but can be folded to provide more padding. It is made well and seems pretty durable. This blanket will work well for yoga, meditation, as a blanket, as a ground cover for outdoor activities, etc. The large size of the blanket is great, it can cover a queen-sized bed.

This is a thinner yoga blanket than what I am used to. I actually prefer it and like the cozy feel. It is well made and I love the color. I feel like it is a bit pricey for what it is used for

This is a different weave than I am typically used to, which I think has its pros and cons. Generally it is much thinner than what I would consider typical Yoga blankets, and takes up half as much space. While this means I have to fold it over more to get the same loft for modifications during class, it also takes up less room in my bag or for travel. The weave is tighter and the cotton fairly stiff to begin with, which is I suppose a bit rougher to the touch than my older one, although cotton tends to soften anyhow with age, so that is difficult to compare at this time. The texture does not bother me in class though, whether cushioning from below, or draping over-top. The construction has a bit more handmade rustic feel, which I tend to prefer, but i does allow for less even edges, and I have found a few loose threads. I love the blue accent, and the fringe detailing provides a nice delicate appeal to the finished edge.Personally I think it looks great, and I appreciate the eco-friendly construction. If you are okay with the rustic look, and the thinner design, this would make a great addition to your Yoga kit, of would make a great gift. For some even the quality materials will not quite be enough to justify the current price, but I still generally feel this is a great product.

This blanket is such a great buy! It’s very large, so I like to fold it in half or even over again for extra cushion. It’s soft and feels nice on the skin. The color is more of a teal, but it’s still very pretty. The quality is wonderful! I’m very happy with this.
